How do you file nails? and how often should you file them?

don't file them too often, that makes the nail weak and thin, which causes it to break easily. How do you file nails? and how often should you file them?
you just rub the file again the tip and corners of your nail to make a nice shape you can file them as often as you want or even if you just want to change the shape.How do you file nails? and how often should you file them?
how ever shape you want your nails and as much as you want i file mine atlest once a week lol
