I know that you have to cut them, but do you have to file them? If you don't, will it harm your rabbit?Is it necessary to file a rabbit's nails?
As the owner of a childrens petting zoo I have to keep my bunnies feet in good health.I clip there toenails and then insted of filing them I buff them out.That way if there are any jagged edges they soften and it can keep a poor cut nail from splittin.And always keep a septic pencil handy if you cut it to short.
Also if you have a hard time getting the bunny to be still take a tube sock and cut the toe off and put the bunny inside it makes it so much easier.Is it necessary to file a rabbit's nails?
no just cut them straight and it will be fine
