How do u use a nail file?

I remember when I was like 10 or 11, my mum showed me this special way of filing my nails into a rounded shape. You could try it: Take some nail clippers and just snip a bit off each side of the nail - not loads but just a slight clip so you have the rough shape you want to achieve. It's kinda like an artist's outline. Then you take the nail file and just gentley file away at the corners to make them smooth. Hold the nail file horizontally and use a bending motion over the top of the nail.
