Is there danger in filing teeth with a nail file?

i filed my front two teeth earlier with a nail file. they look much nicer now tho but im worried if theyre going to go black or sensitive. I filed them down about a milimeter eachIs there danger in filing teeth with a nail file?
yes it's quite bad. i asked my dentist to file my teeth and he said it would make them really really sensitive so he didn't. since you filed a whole millimeter, you should definitely go to the dentist to see if they could fix it before any problems occur. Is there danger in filing teeth with a nail file?
It's not so much you filing them with a nail file, it's just the filing itself! Teeth are only small, so there's not a great deal of enamel surrounding them, therefore a millimetre is quite a lot. Your teeth will probably be really sensitive from now on cause there's not as much between the pulp (nerves) and all the wear and tear that your teeth go through.

You should really go and see your dentist. He'll most likely lecture you, but what can you expect?
Yeas, it is bad. You're scraping off the enamel if you file them. Without enamel to protect them, they are wall more likely get break, get cavities, be very sensitive, etc.

And a millimetre is a fair bit for a tooth.

I'd go to my dentist, stat. He'll think you're crazy and lecture you but you need that if you think filing your teeth isn't going to harm them. You might need them capped.
Yes, you will destroy the enamel and could bread the tooth.
Ouch didn't that hurt?
