Can filing front teeth with a nail file cause any damage?

i did it earlier and i made my front two teeth much straighter and nicer to look at. My mum just told me some stuff to do with enamel though, are my teeth gonna go black and sensitive??Can filing front teeth with a nail file cause any damage?
yeh man! you just filed off like a load of enamel :| thats like ';the outter layer'; of your teeth, and its harder and stuff %26gt;_%26lt; the inside is a more weak kinda ';inner tooth'; thing, but maybe you havn't filed far enough to get into that *i hope* i suggest you use sensodyne tooth paste... the pro enamel type as it wil strengthen that bit you filed down. but if its not sore and sensitive now i wouldn't think you've done too much damage. Can filing front teeth with a nail file cause any damage?
your teeth will get sensitive: how much did you file off?! if you wanted that done than you should have gone to the dentist: they do it in such a way that the enamel does not get sensitive. they're called nail files for a reason: to file your nails, not your teeth!
that is not a good idea!

i dont know if they will go black but if you file them enough you will get closer and closer to the nerve in your tooth and it will hurt when you chew things and you may hurt if you eat or drink something cold..
