How can you buff and file your nails at home and make them look shiny like you put polish on them?

There is this nail file you can get at a CVS Pharmacy or even just a Walmart in the Cosmetics section that has multiple sides to the file. It has a total of 7 sides.

1) File nail

2)Clean it kind of

3)Loose ends

4)Even out nail

5)Smooth nail

6)Buff nail

7)Shine nail

I've used it a few times and honestly your nail stays smooth and SHINY for an EXTREMELY long time! Its also very healthy so you can give yourself a personal manicure! French or regularHow can you buff and file your nails at home and make them look shiny like you put polish on them?

go and get yourself a manicurist set and it should have instructions
I have a kit from Deep Sea Cosmetics. There is a buffer in it with 3 sides.

1= removes roughness

2= buffer

3= shine!

There is also a lotion for your cuticles to keep them healthy and lotion for your hands. Oh and there is a nail file in it too. I really like it. I got it for $25(student discount) but it's usually $75. I recommend you look for a good nail buffer, not necessarily from DSC. You should only need to do your nails like this every 2 weeks, otherwise you'll over file your nails and make them thin, prone to tear/break.

Hope this helps!

Happy Holidays

They also sell these three or four way buffers at any drug store and at most dollar stores for a buck only. You just need to be careful not to use the ridge smoothing side too much, or it will buff off too many of the layers from the top of your nail, making your nails weaker and they will break easier. The white satin finish and the shining portion can be used as often as you like. Don't forget to use it on the edge of your nail like a nail file to seal the edge of your nail as well.
