You can't make them grow any faster - that's a cellular process.
Wear them in a squared oval - this requires the least filing. The more you file (like to a point, or rounded) the weaker they get. If you are trying to grow them, it is better to file with a fine grit file than to clip. Coarse grit files are for acrylic nails. Clipping can make the layers of nail separate. Never use nail scissors on nails you plan to grow long. Clip only to remove more length than can be filed. If you are growing them you should not need to do this except to cut down when they get way too long.
I highly recommend acrylic nails because they are so much stronger, and they hold polish for weeks with no chipping.
